KOONLEARN · SAP BUSINESS ONE TRAINING SIMULATION

Available

KoonLearn: SAP Business One training simulation.
Learn SAP B1 by doing the work.

KoonLearn is an online SAP Business One training simulation: version 10.0 FP2608, on SAP HANA and SQL Server. You work in a client built after SAP Business One, with an accounting engine of its own that really posts, in a story about an implementation project. There are two tracks: one for end users who work in B1 every day, and one for partners, the consultants and sales people preparing for C_TB120, with exam training. Chapter 03 Purchasing is free.

01 / TWO TRACKS

SAP Business One end-user training. And a course for partners.

Someone who works in SAP Business One every day wants to learn something else than someone who implements or sells it at customers. That's why KoonLearn has two tracks in the same world. The partner track contains everything from the end-user track, and more.

TRACK 1

End users

For everyone who works in SAP Business One: new employees, key users and end users at companies that run B1. You learn to use the system properly, in the work you actually do.

  • Purchasing, sales, inventory, production, service and financials: the user parts of chapters 00 and 02 to 09.
  • Tasks in the client, checked per field, and a test per chapter.
  • No configuration and no exam: just the work, done properly.

TRACK 2

Partners: consultants and sales

For consultants and sales people at a SAP Business One partner who want the C_TB120 certification (SAP Certified Associate – SAP Business One). You learn to use the system and to set it up, and you practise the exam.

  • Everything from the end-user track, plus the setup: company, account determination, numbering, freight, authorizations, migration.
  • All twelve chapters, with the full chapter tests.
  • Exam training and a final exam in the style of C_TB120.

In the game the tracks are called Key user and Consultant. You buy access as Key user or Partner; chapter 03 Purchasing is free for both.

02 / THE PROBLEM

Why learning SAP Business One is hard.

You don't learn SAP Business One from a manual of a thousand pages. You learn it by posting: an order, a receipt, an invoice, and then seeing what that does to stock and the ledger. But there isn't always a test database, you hardly dare touch it, and a demo company tells no story.

Anyone preparing for the exam mostly gets lists of loose questions, without the screen that goes with them. And the end user at a customer gets an afternoon of training and a folder of screenshots.

KoonLearn puts the work itself first. A colleague gives you a task, you open the right window through the menu, fill it in and post. The engine checks the result, not your clicks, and tells you per field what is off.

03 / WHAT'S INSIDE

A whole implementation project, in twelve chapters.

205 tasks and 360 questions in the story, plus several deep-dive modules. Each chapter takes one to one and a half hours. Together they cover the topics of C_TB120: implementation, financials and logistics.

Partner includes everything in Key user, plus chapters 01, 10 and 11, the setup parts of the other chapters, the exam training and the final exam. In free play you open any window without a task.

04 / HOW IT WORKS

A client built after SAP Business One, with a story around it.

A colleague gives you a task, you open the right window through the menu, fill it in and post. What you post stays in the same world.

  • The clientMain menu and menu paths, windows with a toolbar, the modes Find, Add, OK and Update, tabs and rows, Choose From List, Copy From and Copy To, and the familiar shortcuts. Over eighty windows to discover, in a style of its own, without SAP logos.
  • Postings that add upA small accounting engine in the browser: documents, stock, moving average cost, tax and journal entries. The journal entry preview shows what a document will post before you add it.
  • A storyAn implementation project at a wholesaler with light assembly. Six regular colleagues give the tasks, from the buyer to the managing director, and a document from the first task comes back three tasks later.
  • Checked per fieldTry freely, then Check. The engine compares the result, not your clicks, and names every difference. A hint costs XP; you can view the solution or skip a task.
  • Questions and troubleshootingBesides tasks in the client: scenario questions in exam style, and troubleshooting tasks where a posting or setting is wrong and you find the cause. Every chapter ends with a quiz with an explanation for each question.
  • Your company, your platformIn the settings you pick your track, SAP HANA or SQL Server, and if you like your own company name instead of the one in the story.
  • Rewards and progressXP, stars and badges, and a tip every day. No leaderboard and no certificate. With an account, signing in with a link by email, your progress goes with you to every device.
  • Five languages, light or darkEnglish, Dutch, German, Spanish and French, a light and a dark theme, and text from 75 to 125 %. Screen names and menu paths stay in English, as in most SAP Business One installations.

05 / EXAM TRAINING

Practise the exam, as often as you like.

Most exam training is only a stack of questions. In KoonLearn you have done every topic yourself in the client first; the exam training then tests whether you also know it under exam pressure.

  • Like the real exam80 scenario questions in the style of C_TB120, in two hours, with a pass mark of 60 % (48 of 80). Drawn according to the weighting of the topics: logistics 40 %, financials 30 % and implementation 30 %.
  • A new exam every timeEvery run draws again from the question bank, so practising once more makes sense. You can flag questions and go back, just as in the exam.
  • Results per topicAfterwards your score per topic, an explanation for each question, and a pointer to the chapter where you practise the topic in the client.
  • Any timeYou can start it apart from the story, also when you have finished the chapters. Chapter 11 closes the story with a final exam in the same style.

Exam training and the final exam are part of Partner. You can repeat the training as often as you like.

Exam training: 80 questions, the clock at two hours, flag questions and go back through the overview.

06 / DEEP DIVES

Deep-dive modules for technical consultants.

Separate modules next to the story, in the same client and in any order. There are several, such as SQL and the Business One database, Service Layer and DI API, and authorizations, layouts and reports, plus entry modules that start from zero. Every module ends with a quiz or a module exam.

The deep dives go beyond the exam: they are not preparation for C_TB120 and give no certificate. SQL from the first SELECT is free for everyone, also without an account. The customer portal shows which modules there are and what they cost.

Deep dive overviewEvery module stands on its own and ends with a quiz or a module exam.

THIRD-PARTY ADD-ONS

Boyum B1UP and Produmex

Widely used add-ons for productivity and the warehouse, for users and for those who set them up.

Produmex and B1UP are products of Boyum IT. KoonLearn is not affiliated with it; the modules are our own work, without logos or texts of the makers.

09 / HONEST

Exam preparation, not a guarantee.

Training for a certification quickly promises too much. These are the rules KoonLearn sticks to.

Preparation, not a promise

We prepare you for C_TB120. The result depends on you and on the exam; we don't promise it.

No real exam questions

Every question is written by us, in the style of the exam. No leaked or re-enacted questions.

Our own text

Every task and explanation is our own work, written from practice. We use SAP's documentation only to check facts.

Facts checked

Menu paths, screen names and postings are checked per task for SAP Business One 10.0, on HANA and SQL Server.

Independent

KoonLearn is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by SAP SE. SAP and SAP Business One are trademarks of SAP SE.

By consultants

Made by the same team that builds the add-ons for SAP Business One. The story comes from real projects.

11 / QUESTIONS

Questions about KoonLearn and learning SAP Business One.

Is KoonLearn a course or a game?

Both. You follow a story about an implementation project and do the work in a client built after SAP Business One: posting documents, making settings, finding errors. In between you answer questions in exam style. There is no timer and there are no lives; you earn XP, stars and badges.

Can I use KoonLearn as SAP Business One user training for my team?

Yes. The end-user track is SAP Business One user training for new employees and key users: purchasing, sales, inventory, production, service and financials, with tasks in the client and a test per chapter. In the customer portal you buy seats for your team and give each seat to a colleague; everyone learns online at their own pace, without a classroom or a test database.

Do I need SAP Business One?

No. KoonLearn runs in the browser with a client of its own and a small accounting engine of its own. You need no SAP licence, no test database and no server. What you learn you will recognise one to one in the real client afterwards: the same menu paths, screen names and fields.

Will this get me through the C_TB120 exam?

KoonLearn is exam preparation: the chapters follow the topics of C_TB120 (SAP Certified Associate – SAP Business One), the questions are in the same style, and in the partner track you practise a whole exam with exam training as often as you like. Nobody can guarantee a result, and neither do we. There are no real exam questions in it; every question is our own work.

What is the difference between the end-user track and the partner track?

End users learn to use SAP Business One: purchasing, sales, inventory, production, service and financials. Partners, the consultants and sales people at a SAP Business One partner, do that too and also learn to set it up: account determination, document numbering, freight, authorizations, migration. Only the partner track has the exam training and the final exam. In the game the tracks are called Key user and Consultant.

SAP HANA or SQL Server?

Both. You pick your platform in your profile. Where SAP Business One works differently on HANA than on SQL Server, the task says so. The deep dive SQL and the Business One database covers the database layer itself: tables, queries and the differences between HANA and SQL Server.

Is KoonLearn made by SAP?

No. KoonLearn is an independent product of KoonSystems and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by SAP SE. SAP and SAP Business One are trademarks of SAP SE. The client has a style of its own, without SAP logos, icons or screenshots.

Can I try it for free?

Yes. Chapter 03 Purchasing is free, for both tracks and without an account, and so is free play in the client. Go to learn.koonsystems.com and start.

What does KoonLearn cost?

Chapter 03 Purchasing and the entry module SQL from the first SELECT are free. Paid access starts from €10 per month, excluding VAT. There are several price options for partners and users, for one person or a whole team. Prices and options are in the customer portal.

How do I buy access for a team?

In the customer portal you create an organisation and buy the number of seats you need, per option. You give each seat to a colleague's email address; they sign in with that address at learn.koonsystems.com.
